Qianlong-kejsaren (kinesiska: 乾隆帝; Qiánlóngdì, i äldre texter Ch'ien-lung eller Chien-long), egentligt namn Hongli, född 25 september 1711, död 7 februari 1799, var den fjärde av manchuernas kejsare som regerade över Kina under Qingdynastin. Han var sin företrädare Yongzheng-kejsarens fjärde son. Officiellt regerade han från 8 oktober 1735 till 9 februari 1796, då han abdikerade till förmån för sin son, Jiaqing-kejsaren.

Kejsarinnan Xiao Xian, även känd som kejsarinnan Xiao Xian Chun, född som Fuca 1712, död 1748, var en kinesisk kejsarinna, gift med kejsar Qianlong. Hon var Kinas kejsarinna 1738-48.

The Empress of the Nara clan (11 March 1718 – 19 August 1766), of the Manchu Bordered Blue Banner Nara clan, was an imperial consort of the Qing dynasty. She was second wife of the Qianlong Emperor. Informally known as the Step-Empress, she is one of the most controversial female figures in Chinese history.

She was elevated to empress rank after Empress Xiaoxianchun's death, and in her role as empress, accompanied the Qianlong Emperor on many leisure and hunting trips, as well as ancestral worship ceremonies.

Historical records give little information about her life or even her physical appearance. Because of this lack of documentation, there has been intense speculation among Chinese academicians regarding her historicity and character. It is widely suspected that the Qianlong Emperor destroyed all her records and portraits.

Although never officially deposed, she lost her authority as chief of the imperial harem in 1765, reputedly because she cut her hair, an act that was considered a grave offense according to Manchurian custom. Consequently, the Qianlong Emperor ordered that her four titular imperial edicts, accompanying gifts, and imperial seal be confiscated. After her death, she was not given an imperial funeral or a posthumous name, nor was she buried with the Qianlong Emperor.

She was two years his junior. Imperial Noble Consort Shujia was also the Qing dynasty's only imperial concubine of ethnic Korean heritage.

Empress Xiaoyichun (23 October 1727 – 28 February 1775), of the Manchu Bordered Yellow Banner Weigiya clan, was an imperial consort of the Qing dynasty. She was one of the most favored consorts of the Qianlong Emperor, with whom she conceived seven children.

Rongfei, född 1735, död 1788, var Qianlong-kejsarens favoritkonkubin och gunstling 1760-1788.

Hon var född som uigur och dotter till Hojalai av Hojo-klanen och ättling till Gambar, grundaren av Shizu. År 1760 belönades hennes bror Turdu med en titel av Qianlong-kejsaren sedan han slagit ned ett uppror i provinsen Xinjiang. I samband med detta placerades Rongfei i kejsarens harem. Hon var den enda uiguriska konkubinen i kejsarens harem.

Rongfei blev kejsarens favorit bland konkubinerna. 1761 fick hon titeln Dam He, 1762 titeln Kejserlig Konkubin, och 1768 titeln Gemål. Både hon och hennes bror åtföljde kejsaren på den uppmärksammade inspektionsturen till de södra provinserna 1765. Rongfei gunstlingsposition demonstrerades av de öppna privilegier kejsaren gav henne: 1774 firade han hennes födelsedag med stora högtidligheter, samma år fick hon plats två i rang av alla hans gemåler under den kejserliga jaktturen, och blev den enda av alla kejsarens gemåler som fick smaka på den hjort han nedlagt; hon gavs också ständigt en framskjuten plats på alla officiella tillställningar och banketter. 1784 firade kejsaren också hennes femtioårsdag med stora festligheter. Hennes position som gunstlig gav henne en uppmärksammad och inflytelserik position i det kejserliga palatset.
