John Christian (23 January 1700 – 20 July 1733; in German: Johann Christian Joseph) was the Count Palatine of Sulzbach from 1732–33. He was the second and youngest surviving son of duke Theodore Eustace, Count Palatine of Sulzbach (1659–1732) with his consort Eleonore Maria Amalia of Hesse-Rotenburg (1675–1720). His elder brother was Joseph Charles, Count Palatine of Sulzbach.

Maria Henriette de La Tour d'Auvergne (Maria Anna Henriette Leopoldine; 24 October 1708 – 28 July 1728) was a noblewoman born into the House of La Tour d'Auvergne. She was the suo jure Margravine of Bergen op Zoom from 1710 at the death of her father. She was the mother of Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria.

Princess Eleonore Philippina of Hesse-Rheinfels-Rotenburg (Eleonore Philippina Christina Sophia; 17 October 1712 – 23 May 1759) was the consort of John Christian, Count Palatine of Sulzbach, whose two children were both by his first wife, Maria Henriette de La Tour d'Auvergne.
